About ECIU and its Brussels Office

ECIU is a strong and active network of Europe's most entrepreneurial and innovative universities. The thirteen partners have already been cooperating within ECIU since its foundation in 1997. There is cooperation in the field of education, in promoting entrepreneurship amongst students and staff and in exploring new ways of collaborating with business, industry and the public sector. Since 2019, the ECIU is pioneering with its challenge-based ECIU University, one of the first Erasmus+ European Universities. ECIU also coordinates FOREU4ALL, bringing all 65 European University Alliances together in a single, cohesive structure. The Brussels Office advises the colleagues of ECIU on EU policy developments. The focus is mainly on EU education-, research-, and innovation policies, including the specific programmes (Erasmus+, and Horizon Europe).

The office is located very centrally in Brussels with several other interest organisations in the same building. There will be lots of opportunities to spar with other interns during the internship period.

Terms of employment

ECIU will provide an allowance of €500 a month and cover travel expenses at the start and the end of the internship. Additionally, there is the possibility of applying for an Erasmus+ grant. The internship is from September 2025 until February 2026.

As a consortium of innovative universities, we believe that equality and diversity are driving forces for innovation. ECIU aims to make diversity – embracing and taking into account differences between individuals and groups – and equality – providing equal access to resources, opportunities and participation (including decision-making) – the priority of ECIU’s top management and the priority in all ECIU activities. Therefore, we encourage all interested candidates to apply for this position, and we will take the ambition for a diverse team into account during the selection process.
