Linköping University’s Vice-Chancellor Jan-Ingvar Jönsson has been appointed new president of the ECIU for the coming three years.
“Solving the major global challenges of our time requires more active collaboration within academia. ECIU plays an important role, and I’m proud that over the next three years I’ll serve as its president,” says Jan-Ingvar Jönsson.
ECIU consists of 13 higher education institutions in Europe and one in Mexico with the common denominator of bringing innovation in higher education, and entrepreneurship and interaction with the surrounding community being central to the activities of the consortium.
Since 2019, ECIU members are co-creating ECIU University, a joint European University, that brings students, teachers, researchers, companies and public organisations to work together, and gives the opportunity to find solutions to real problems.
