Interdisciplinary Networking for a Sustainable and Circular Economy
The project „Interdisciplinary networking for a sustainable and circular economy (INSCE)“, funded by the ECIU SMART-ER programme action „Blended mobility to create networks“, aims to organize a series of events designed to foster cooperation and co‐creation among ECIU universities and to expand the knowledge of academic staff by sharing interdisciplinary experiences and disseminating knowledge about relevant and future research regarding the circular economy and sustainability.
Project coordinator Kaunas University of Technology, organized the meeting with project partners Linköping University, Tampere University, and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Kaunas on 26-28 October 2022. The project meeting was organized as a workshop in order to map a joint experience and connecting topics among the project partners in relation to the circular economy from the research and teaching perspective.
During the project meeting in Kaunas, it was organized the open lecture Networking for the circular economy, by touching very important aspects of the circular economy, such as standardization work within the circular economy (dr. Mattias Lindahl; Linköping University, Sweden), circular business model, and circular value chain (dr. Leena Aarikka-Stenroos and researcher Mikko Sairanen; Tampere University, Finland), paradoxical tensions in circular business models innovation (dr. Lina Dagilienė; Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania) and implementation of the circular economy in electrical and electronic products (dr. Laura Talens Peiró; Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain). This open lecture was organized in a hybrid format in order to reach a wider part of the society of ECIU University. The open lecture ended with very fruitful discussions with the audience!
