The final session of the 17th ECIU Leadership Development Program focused on different themes: from the alignment of the institutional strategies with the ECIU University; to the challenge-based approach to support innovation and entrepreneurship among the students; to the participation of the actors of the ECIU ecosystem.
After four days of work at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), three main projects of the 17th generation of the ECIU Leadership Development Programme have been presented: they have been worked on through the previous sessions which have been held at INSA Toulouse (September 6-9, 2022) and at the University of Twente (December 13-16, 2022).
INSA Toulouse project focused on a challenge-based approach to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among the students of INSA Toulouse and of the entire INSA group. University of Twente project worked on increasing the participation of the actors of the ECIU ecosystem (students, professors and external stakeholders) to ECIU University. Finally, the UAB project has focused on how to align the institutional strategies of each member university with the strategy of ECIU University.
The ECIU Leadership Development Program aims to contribute to the innovation and change in leadership of the member universities, by offering a unique learning experience for a group of selected leaders and potential leaders.
The programme is aimed at young and future leaders, as well as university staff members with leadership experience (both academic and service staff). The programme focuses on the strategic management and the challenges of leadership, and helps deepen the understanding of important political developments and trends in European and global higher education.
The recruitment for the 2023-2024 programme (starting in the fall 2023 and ending in April 2024) will start soon.
