Last week at the University of Twente, The ECIU User Experience and Services Team held the first-ever User Focus Group session with nine deeply engaged and enthusiastic students from five different ECIU University member institutions. Over two days of student-led discussions and interactive activities, we explored many user experience topics such as the student user journey, IT infrastructures and the motivation scan.
The team was able to receive direct feedback, suggestions and advice from the students on improving the current ECIU University experience – and even went a step further to discuss how we can co-create new services and infrastructure to better meet students’ needs.
On the last day, students engaged in an interactive activity and shared their own vision of the “university of the future”, giving all of us a fresh take on what they aspire to see in ECIU University moving forward.
The ECIU User Experience and Services Team is going to use all the information and insights from this first User Focus Group to define their plan for developing new services and experiences for 2024. The goal is also to establish future User Focus Group sessions and help ECIU University make more user-informed plans and decisions when developing IT infrastructures and services – based on input and contributions from all user groups.
Stay tuned for the next User Focus Group!
