On April 4th and 5th, student representatives from ECIU University member institutions gathered at the Hamburg University of Technology to work on shaping a model for student representation at ECIU University! Participants from 13 student unions around the Alliance worked hard to develop a shared vision and objectives and plan for their next steps.  

The event focused on co-creation – for and with students, with the sessions led by two student board members, Eddie Arriaga Flores and Jacob Blasius. Over the two days, they oversaw passionate and enthusiastic discussions, which set a goal of maintaining a unified perspective despite the wide and varied structures of each university. Deep personal connections were created as well – laying the foundation for future cooperation.  

In the upcoming months, discussions within ECIU University and each member institution’s union continue – with a next in-person meeting planned for October 2024.
