The ECIU University Forum is a yearly networking event that unites the entire ECIU University community.
Join us for two exciting days, as learners, teachers, staff, researchers, and external stakeholders from across the ECIU University community and beyond come together. This year, we will focus on how innovation can drive sustainable futures by fostering collaboration across various communities in education and research.
The 2025 Forum will be a unique opportunity to shape the future of education and innovation. We aim to build lasting partnerships, generate pioneering ideas, and inspire action toward a sustainable world.
This call is only for presenters. If you would like to join the Forum as a participant, the Call for Participants will open in January 2025. We look forward to your application then.
The ECIU University Forum aims to engage its participants in discussions relevant to them – which is why we invite you to contribute. Submit your proposal to facilitate one of the sessions and become part of leading a relevant conversation.
The proposed topics/ideas/contents must be related to the main theme of the event:
Innovation for Sustainable Futures.
Explore a specific topic, bringing together a group of experts with different perspectives.
Share one of ECIU University’s innovation and innovative education-related achievements in a short presentation.
Are you an expert on a particular topic? Is there something you want to teach the participants? Give a skills training session!
Do you have an idea you want to make a reality? Invite colleagues to collaborate on developing an ECIU University learning opportunity, a project, or a European project application. For example, you can present your current research subject and find partners both for research and future learning opportunities. Are you facing a problem in your organization or work? It recognizes learners, staff and external stakeholders who have gone above and beyond to develop meaningful, sustainable solutions with a positive impact on communities.
Just like last year, the Team Impact Award 2025 will be given during the ECIU University Forum. The Forum will take place on June 10-11th, at the University of Trento (Italy), with Innovation for Sustainable Futures as the main theme.
Whether you're a learner, a teamcher or a researcher, all community members are welcome to apply. Show the entire community the impact of the challenge YOU took on.
The ECIU Impact Framework aims to help you share your individual and collective impact story:
The ECIU Team Impact Award is not just the result, but also the journey — show it to the world!
The lucky winners will be contacted by Selecting Committee by April 15th.
Show us your REAL* impact! Let your creative juices flow! Make a video (3 minutes max, any format) that best showcases the impact you and your team made during the ECIU University challenge/action.

Yes, but we strongly encourage people to apply in a team! So you might want to consider contacting the people you worked with on the Challenge to put together a team application.
Anyone who participated in a Challenge (teacher, student, external stakeholder), and preferably in a team! However, for the prize trip to Trento, the recipients must be affiliated with an ECIU member university.
For instance, students who were on an exchange semester and participated in a Challenge can of course apply, but if they win, they would only win the trip to Trento if they are still currently enrolled at the ECIU University partner university.
All winners will receive a certificate though, regardless of their university affiliation.
Gather as much material (photos, videos, feedback) as possible during the Challenge to provide content for the video!
Depending on how creative you want to be, and how much time you want to invest in increasing your video editing skills, there are many free tools! Here are some suggestions for tools that are easy to work with (and have a ‘free’ option):
