Description

One of the pillars of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) is Challenge Based Learning (CBL), an educational model where ‘learners, teachers, researchers, representatives of businesses and public organisations - join forces across a variety of disciplines to solve real-life problems’. The integration of CBL across the ECIU institutional partners requires a deeper understanding of its principles and practices as well as the skills and competences to change course syllabus accordingly. Considering that teaching and learning is a major part of researchers’ professional practice, including PhD students, this course provides the opportunity for researchers and PhD students to deepen their knowledge and skills on CBL as well as develop strategies on how to integrate CBL principles in their educational activities.
